We are currently recruiting for a Principal Surveyor to undertake surveys using a variety of specialist equipment within the rail sector.

REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to exercise judgement to solve operational problems where the answer is not always apparent.
- Educated to degree level or extensive experience in an engineering discipline.
- Thorough and wide knowledge of surveying techniques and instrumentation.
- Detailed knowledge of structural monitoring options.
- Experience of Civil Engineering projects, particularly earthworks.
- Understanding of Quality, Safety and Environment accreditation systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with direct reports, colleagues and customers.
- Ability to manage survey team personnel
- Hold a range of industry specific competencies.
- Full driving license.
- Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of the tasks at hand.
- Ability to work flexible working hours, including nights & weekends, at various locations globally.
- Good knowledge of Office applications along with software relating to the role – processing and drafting.
- AutoCAD software expertise.
